International Women’s Day Breakfast Joint Business Council Event
We would like to invite all NBC Members to the International Women’s Day Breakfast, which will take place on March 3rd at the Hyde Hotel.
Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal future
This year, drawing inspiration from the UN Women’s International Women’s Day theme, we explore the role that bold, transformative ideas, inclusive technologies, and accessible education can play in combatting discrimination and the marginalization of women globally.
Innovation is a driver of change and by embracing new technologies and championing the unique skills and knowledge of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), we can accelerate our progress toward a gender-equal future.
We are honored to be joined by our inspirational speakers, from the education space, to ask: “What role education plays in promoting gender equity” and ask them for their thoughts on educating women, and gain insight from their respective journeys.

- Ms. Karey Goodall Executive Principal, VISS - Educating females in primary and secondary school
- Dr. Rula Sharqi Assistant Professor School of Engineering and Physics, Heriot Watt University - Higher Education for women with a focus on STEM
